Bear Cut Ear
Bear Cut Ear Don Ross
On the day after the Little Bighorn Battle when hundreds of soldiers and warriors lay dead, Bear Cut Ear went to a ridge top and prayed.

He and his people mourned their dead in traditional ceremonies and then moved on, taking with them memories of the fallen to serve as inspiration in their own lives.
A hundred years ago Edward S. Curtis traveled the American west photographing tribes of Native Americans. This is one of a series of paintings inspired by those photographs.
The canvas is 30" X 36" over 2.5" stretcher bars.
