Mark of the Crow
Mark of the Crow Don Ross
"They've shorn my hair, they've crushed my pride, they've taken my land and my wife from my side."

The Crow warrior fought to avenge his wife's death but was left with a deep scar on the side of his face. He returned to his people bloody but proud.
A hundred years ago Edward S. Curtis traveled the American west photographing tribes of Native Americans. This is one of a series of paintings inspired by those photographs.
The canvas is 30" X 36" over 2.5" stretcher bars.
