Warrior At Greasy Grass Don Ross
The U.S. Cavalry fought the Lakota and their allies the Cheyenne and Arapaho at Greasy Grass known to the cavalry as Little Big Horn. The Sioux and the other tribes won a victory over General Custer.
 
 
A hundred years ago Edward S. Curtis traveled the American west photographing tribes of Native Americans. This is one of a series of paintings inspired by those photographs.
 
The canvas is 30" X 36" over 2.5" stretcher bars.
